Cricket 10p Coin

Year Issued: 2018, 2019

Mintage: TBC

Estimated Value: 2.31

The Cricket 10p coin was released as part of the quintessentially British A-Z 10p coin set released by the Royal Mint initially in 2018.  The A-Z 10p set aims to celebrate everything about Britain, from the Angel of the North representing the letter A to the Zebra Crossing representing the letter Z.

The Cricket 10p coin features a batsman swinging his bat with a pair of wickets in the background alongside the letter ‘C’ on the reverse, with the design of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark on the obverse. Although the mintage of this coin has not yet been confirmed, it is estimated that around 280,000 of each coin in the collection exists. This assumes that each coin in the set was evenly minted so we cannot confirm this figure as of yet.

Even as an estimate the mintage figures for not only this coin but any of the coins in the A-Z set mean that they are highly rare and regularly sell for above face value.
